A little bit about Diego Fierro.
I’m a multimedia artist with a background in film. I was born and raised in California and moved to Virginia at the start of my teenage years. Both places shaped my early creative perspective in different ways. After feeling disconnected from the environment around me, I decided to move to Paris for my higher studies. I've spent the past three years not only studying but expanding my practice as an artist and exploring new ways of seeing the world around me. I’ve recently found myself back in the U.S. carrying the influence of that time with me.
My journey into film began with an internship on a Netflix project under an Emmy Award–winning director which not only showed me a glimpse into the industry but also pushed me into a direction that would change my life forever. Since then, I’ve worked with Grammy nominated musicians, professional visual artists, and digital creators. From independent voices to widely recognized influencers. These experiences have shaped my practice and deepened my understanding of how to support a wide spectrum of creative visions.
Over the years, I’ve taken part in many unique experiences — acting and modeling in music videos and short films, directing and writing my own films, and contributing to everything from brand content to a documentary about jazz musician Kirk Lacy, who performed alongside Chet Baker. I’ve conceptualized and styled photo shoots and visual magazines, scored music for visual pieces, worked for the 2024 Olympics, built sets, designed costumes, created graphic artwork for scenes, and collaborated closely with departments to bring creative visions to life. Whether I’m editing, drawing up shotlists, or helping shape the tone of a project, I approach every role with a deep sense of care and curiosity. Film may be my foundation, but storytelling in any medium is where I thrive.
Whether I’m working on a production or a self-initiated project, I aim to bring a fresh perspective while assisting the vision of the project. That drive to create and to help others do the same has taken me down a road of unexpected paths and pushed me as an artist. Leaving behind everything familiar to move to Paris was a leap I took in search of growth, clarity, and a deeper connection to myself. My time taught me not just new skills, but the value of change itself. I'm not afraid to start over or adapt as it's part of the creative process and my passion in this life is to create.
